Optical Switch Simulator

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate control plane operations of an optical switch network. The current plan is to implement the control plane of a network SONET switches with the ability to cross connect at the sts-1 level only. After this implementation is completed, it will be used to determine the effect of high link utilization on optical switching times.
